The Robert E Morris Company will showcase the Okuma ES-L8M Heritage series horizontal lathe in Booth 1,305 at Eastec 2010, which is due to be held on 25-27 May.

This series of lathes incorporates an integral box construction and Okuma components.

The optional milling (M) function is said to increase the flexibility of the machine and provide multi-tasking capabilities.

The Heritage series features Thinc-OSP control, a Windows-based platform with an open architecture, a plug-and-work USB capability and 40Gb of memory.

This control is claimed to make it simple to connect to peripheral equipment and utilise other machine-tool accessories, improving productivity and data gathering.

The Robert E Morris Company, a division of the Morris Group, will exhibit the Okuma LB3000-EX-SB-MYW, the new Okuma M460-VE and the Okuma Heritage ES-L8M at Eastec, which will be held in Building 1 at the Eastern States Exposition Fairgrounds in West Springfield, Massachusetts.
