KEC has produced an EMC RJ45 splitter that is fully screened and therefore suitable for telecom applications that require a high level of electrical protection.

The KA0931 was commissioned by Adax Europe, the subsidiary of Adax, a US telecom specialist.

The RJ45 splitter can increase connectivity and density from a single card.

Adax cards, specifically designed to meet the demands of wireline, wireless and NGN convergence platforms, provide a high-density, high-performance solution for telecom signalling applications.

The cards have four T1/E1 ports with RJ45 connections and the splitter doubles that density to eight ports per card.

The KEC KA0931 is smaller, lighter and has a higher degree of screening than the previous prototype versions, uses screened cables and connectors housed in an aluminium box and can be provided with various lengths of cable for different applications.

Termination points for the cable screen are provided within the aluminium box, offering excellent screening performance for the overall system, according to KEC.
