Nematron has released the EPC fanless series of ‘ultra-thin’ industrial computers, which feature an Intel Atom N270 processor of 1.6GHz, a 512k cache, 533MHz bus and 40–80GB SATA Solid State drive.

According to the company, the EPC series is suitable for high-end operator interface or SCADA applications where proprietary systems do not supply the open connectivity desired in many modern automation applications.

The EPC fanless series is designed to offer all the I/O and features of the standard EPC series without the use of fans or rotating media.

Its colour TFT LCD display is available in sizes from 12.1in SVGA to 19in SXGA and has an ultra-thin panel mounting depth of less than 3.2in, with an option for an optional five-wire analogue resistive touchscreen.
