Flir Systems has developed the SC650 and SC450 research and development (R&D)/science packs, which are designed to suit users of fixed mounted thermal-imaging cameras who would benefit from a portable unit that can be taken from experiment to experiment.

The T650 SC and T450 SC thermal-imaging cameras within the SC650 and SC450 packs are based on a maintenance-free, uncooled vanadium-oxide microbolometer detector that produces crisp thermal images.

The Flir T650 SC in the SC650 pack features a high-definition 640 x 480-pixel detector, which generates detailed images that are easy to interpret and makes temperature differences as small as 35mK clearly visible. A five-megapixel digital camera ensures clear visual images.

For users that do not require this high image quality, the SC450 pack’s T450 SC generates thermal images of 320 x 240 pixels. It incorporates a 3.1-megapixel digital camera.
