T335 thermal-imaging cameras from Flir are playing an important role in the predictive maintenance programme at automotive manufacturer Fiat’s factory in Melfi, Italy, where several car models are being produced.

The information obtained during the thermal-imaging surveys are being used to predict electrical and mechanical faults so that they can be fixed before they cause breakdowns.

Raitech Industrial Technologies, a specialist in technical assistance for industrial machinery, is responsible for detecting these faults in time.

Currently, the company takes care of the technological systems and industrial maintenance at Fiat Melfi.
