Sierra Instruments is offering a two-year warranty for its entire line of Innova-Switch flow-level switches for performance and environmental application requirements.

The sensor and other wetted materials are 316L stainless steel and feature an all-welded construction with no moving parts.

The Innova-Switch is said to be easy to install and adjust, giving reliable, low-maintenance performance in demanding applications.

Flow and level detection is accomplished by using a high-resolution thermal differential technique.

The sensor consists of a pair of matched Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTDs) – one of which is self heated using a constant DC current, while the other is unheated and provides an accurate process temperature reference.

The thermal differential created between the reference and the heated RTD pair is a function of the density and/or velocity of the gas/fluid in contact with the sensor.

The Innova-Switch features an operating temperature range of -100 to 850F (-70 to 458C) and a range of 0.01 to 5ft per second (fps) in liquids and 0.1 to 500fps in gases.

The level sensitivity is 0.03in.

The meter features an adjustable response time of 0.5 to 10 seconds (media dependent).

Innova-Switch is also CE and CSA approved.
