Fluke, a provider of test equipment for technicians, metrologists and medical device manufacturers, is offering a free netbook PC to UK customers buying a 1653B installation tester with DMS software.

The Fluke 1653B installation tester and the Fluke DMS software must be purchased together by 30 September 2010 and a copy of the Fluke distributor’s invoice and voucher, downloaded from the company’s website, must be sent immediately to the address shown on the voucher to claim the free netbook PC.

With a recently reduced price, the Fluke 1653B multifunction installation tester is suitable for virtually all domestic, commercial and industrial electrical wiring installations to ensure that fixed wiring is safe and correctly installed to meet the BS7671 17th Edition wiring regulations.

Fluke DMS 0100/INST software offers simple administration and reporting in compliance with EN 60364, BS7671 17th Edition Wiring regulations, providing the printing of test reports compatible with a range of standard certificate requirements including NICEIC and IET.

The Fluke DMS safety testing software is also available as a professional ‘Prof’ version for larger organisations; this adds advanced data manipulation and is ideal for facility management or service provider usage.

The Fluke 1653B is equipped with a built-in memory to store test results quickly and easily on site, allowing the data to be uploaded later to a computer for the preparation of professional reports.

It shows PEFC/PSC and loop impedance results in parallel, negating the requirement to run the tests separately, more than halving the test time of other loop testers, according to the company.

The Fluke 1653B features a high-current loop test, which enables fast measurements when testing in circuits where no RCDs are being used; it offers both non-trip and the high current test so the user can select depending on the application.

In addition, there is fast voltage measurement between L-N, L-PE and N-PE using the mains cord, with no need to change measurement connections.

Fluke installation testers can be purchased from authorised Fluke distributors.

This offer is available for a limited period.

Fluke Calibration

Fluke Corporation was founded in 1948, specialising in electrical test and measurement products. Early in its history, Fluke recognised that the very best electrical metrology would be needed to support its products and undertook to develop this capability. From this activity, the calibration business was born. Over the years, many breakthrough calibration products were introduced, establishing Fluke as a leader in electrical metrology.

In 2000, Fluke acquired Wavetek Precision Measurement. In 2001, Fluke’s calibration business expanded into the temperature field with the acquisition of Hart Scientific and then into pressure and gas flow with the acquisition of DH Instruments (2007), followed by Ruska and Pressurements (2010).

The unified business’s unmatched breadth and depth in metrology puts Fluke Calibration in a unique position to deliver today’s and tomorrow’s calibrations solutions to customers who demand the very best, supported by an organisation they can count on for the long term.
