Innovatest Europe has unveiled its latest product range for Brinell hardness testing.

After introducing the Nexus 4000 system for Vickers, Knoop and low-force Brinell testing earlier this year, the company is now offering a system for full-force Brinell testing.

The Nexus 3000 series comprises a manual, semi-automatic and fully automatic Brinell hardness testing system in one modular design.

The patent-pending, closed-loop, force-feedback system of the Nexus 3000 allows a novel load selection ranging from 31.5kgf to 3,000kgf.

Innovatest claims that the Nexus 3000 series is a fast and versatile Brinell system.

The testers are claimed to offer excellent gauge repeatability and reproducibility (GR and R).

Test results are displayed on the large LCD (HBT) directly and can be verified by either an analogue or digital built-in microscope.

As an option, the tester can be upgraded with a USB CCD system for automatic indent scanning to determine the Brinell hardness value without operator interference.

The Nexus 3000 series offers many additional functions, such as conversion to all common hardness scales and to Leeb (dynamic hardness testing) and UTS (tensile strength).

The tester can be upgraded with different force applications, even years after the instrument has been purchased.

The Nexus series is the first of a new generation of products developed and manufactured by Innovatest in the Netherlands and is covered by a three-year limited guarantee.
