Witt is now offering a gas analysis module with the Gas Control 50 digital control unit for quality assurance for plants that mix or process gas.

This unit can permanently monitor the composition of the most common gas mixtures.

Witt delivers the gas analysis module readily installed ex-works for various gas mixers or in a separate housing for retrofitting.

In addition to gas analysis, the digital controller will also be deployed as a control and analysis unit in other Witt products in the future.

The gas analysis system is even suited for applications in explosive areas (Atex); for example, where hydrogen is processed.

The gas analysis variant planned for these options is two-fold; with the gas control unit being located outside of the danger zone.

All variants feature user controls through a colour touch screen, the content of which can be configured individually and to a specific language.

Granting access authorisations allows for multiple user levels.

An integrated circular buffer records all user inputs and measuring results, which can subsequently be processed on a computer.

Initial analysis results can be called up on the device display and presented graphically – including trend calculations.

The USB interface enables transfer of stored data.

The Ethernet interface enables a remote control and data access thanks to the integrated browser-based Web Visio software.

In addition, alarm limits can be defined via Web Visio or directly on the touch screen.

When these limits are exceeded, the processing unit switches an isolated contact, for example, to close a gas in-feed or to avoid a discard.

The gas control unit also allows users to quickly set up the fully automated gas analyser calibration.
