At the Health and Safety Expo in Birmingham this May, Crowcon is showing its portable Gas-Pro confined space entry (CSE) gas detector, as well as detectors for hydrocarbon gases and methane.

The Gas-Pro has application-driven features that include a top-mount display, internal pump, detection of up to five gases simultaneously and +ve Safety – a tri-colour status indicator flexible enough to fit differing regulations.

Crowcon will be showing a number of other new gas detection products as well, including the IRmax infrared (IR) hydrocarbon fixed gas detector and the Lasermethane mini Gen2 (LMm) portable methane detector.

The IRmax is an ultra-compact IR gas detector that delivers rapid, fail-safe detection of hydrocarbon gases with very low power consumption.

Smaller and lighter than comparable IR detectors, the IRmax is easy to install in confined locations that are difficult to access.

The ATEX-approved, second-generation LMm is designed to detect methane at distance of up to 100 metres in seconds and has turned what used to be a time consuming and potentially hazardous procedure into a quick and easy one.

All these products, as well as Crowcon’s existing range of gas-detection products, will be found in Hall 2, stand number T22 at the Expo, where Crowcon’s experts will also be on hand to answer any gas-safety related questions.
