Gesipa Blind Riveting Systems has introduced a range of riveting tools designed to satisfy the specific fastening requirements of the automotive, construction, railway, white goods and electronics industries.

The Taurus Eco range of pneumatic hydraulic riveting tools uses compressed air for setting the rivets into sheet metals and ejecting the broken mandrel.

A cut-off switch can be fitted at the time of ordering to any Taurus or Taurex tool. Its sole purpose is to stop the drawing of air to the tool when not being operated.

Whether the tool is standing up or lying down, it does not draw any air and thus stops the wastage without affecting the performance of the tool.

Key benefits

  • The Taurus Eco tools first use the air to set the rivet and then reuse it to eject the broken mandrel, offering an air saving of up to 68 per cent and delivering cost and environmental benefits.
  • In similar tools, the air suction mechanism to eject the broken mandrel consumes around 100 litres of compressed air per minute, but the Taurus Eco range switches off the air suction mechanism completely and, thanks to its double use, gives customers a more substantial cost saving.
