The GF-Series optical gas imaging (OGI) cameras from Flir Systems can identify sources of VOC emissions and leaking components from refineries, chemical plants and offshore oil and gas extraction platforms; fluorinated hydrocarbon leaks from refrigeration plants; and sulphur hexafluoride emissions from electrical utility plants.

The OGI cameras are designed to provide the non-invasive monitoring of leaks from biogas storage tanks.

The cameras display a gas leak as a plume of vapour in the captured infrared image. Once a leak is found, the operator can use TVA to quantify the concentration.

Optical imaging of gas leaks using Flir GF-Series OGI cameras is inherently safe as the technique allows the user to scan for leaks remotely from a ‘safe zone’.
