Kason has released a granulizing-drying system that converts moist solids into uniform free-flowing granules.

It consists of a centrifugal screener, spheroidiser, circular fluid bed dryer and vibratory screener.

A Centri-Sifter centrifugal screener uses rotating helical paddles to break-up lumps and drive non-flowing materials through holes in a horizontal cylinder, producing moist pellets.

The unit can handle smooth, lumpy, sticky and difficult-to-handle materials.

Moist pellets are discharged into a Kason Spheroidiser, which utilizes vibratory energy to produce high-strength uniform spherical-particles.

The size, uniformity and density of the finished product can be varied by adjusting amplitude and frequency of vibration and the number and slope of agglomerating cones.

Binder powder can be applied prior to entering the unit, or with internal spray nozzles.

Spherical and moist particles are conveyed into a circular vibratory fluid bed dryer, which vibrates and dries the particles on a perforated screen within a rising column of heated air.

The quick-disconnect housing needs only one air inlet and outlet.

Dried particles are discharged into a Vibroscreen vibratory screener that uses an upper screening deck to remove oversized particles.

A lower deck removes undersized (dust) particles to be re-processed.

Low-profile designs are available for areas with limited headroom.

Options are available for rapid screen changes and fast and thorough wash-down.

The equipment meets 3A, FDA, USDA, BISSC and other sanitary standards, as individual components or complete automated and integrated systems.

The company also manufactures stand-alone centrifugal screeners, circular vibratory screeners and circular fluid bed dryers.
