NSK has published ‘Rolling Bearings for Industrial Gearboxes’, which helps the user to select bearings for all gear-box types.

‘Rolling Bearings for Industrial Gearboxes’ is 31 pages long and is divided into eight sections.

Section one gives an overview of all current gear designs – worm, hypoid bevel, epicyclics, spur and bevel types – outlining their advantages and disadvantages.

Section two covers the factors that affect bearing performance in gearboxes, such as load, speed, friction, environment, shaft arrangements, lubrication and assembly space.
