The Hanatek Inclined Plane Tester (IP2) is a standalone instrument for determining the static friction coefficient (COF) of flat surfaces.

The instrument is able to perform tests and calculate static COF, slip angle and statistics.

Designed for use in the packaging industry to measure the static slip of unprinted carton board, printed cartons or plastic films and their coatings, the inclined plane friction tester is suitable for measuring other products such as leather, textiles and paper.

Results are displayed in both coefficient of friction and slip angle with batch analysis and can be output to the optional Hanatek results printer.

The instrument has a measuring range of 0-45 (static COF 0-1.3) and resolution of 0.1 (0.002 static COF) to ensure it exceeds the parameters listed in TAPPI T815 and ASTM D4918 standards.

A choice of sled weights – 200g, 800g and 1,200g – are available to suit virtually every type of packaging material application.
