Hart has announced details of two workshops arranged for 2011 – ‘Hart Fundamentals and QA Testing’ and ‘Writing Enhanced Device Descriptions’.

The ‘Hart Fundamentals and QA Testing’ workshop is designed for product developers and systems integrators.

Day one and day two of this workshop are designed to provide an overview of the Hart market and technology, while day three and day four are designed specifically for product developers and system integrators.

Dates and locations for the ‘Hart Fundamentals and QA Testing’ workshop include: 7-10 March 2011, Austin, Texas; 16-19 May 2011, Dusseldorf, Germany; 19-22 September 2011, Austin, Texas; and 24-27 October 2011, Dusseldorf, Germany.

The ‘Writing Enhanced Device Descriptions’ workshop is a comprehensive course covering the basic and advanced aspects of DD development.

It is to be held on the following dates and locations: 21-24 March 2011, Dusseldorf, Germany; 2-5 May 2011, Austin, Texas; 26-29 September 2011, Dusseldorf, Germany; and 17-20 October, Austin, Texas.

Enhanced device descriptions improve user experience and usability of field devices with DD-enabled host applications.

Attendees will receive the knowledge needed to improve their device’s asset-management system integration by using a device description based on the EDDL, IEC61804-3, through use of the detailed HCF DDL specification HCF Spec-500.

The instructor will provide developers with a step-by-step process for building a device description that can be used across all DD-enabled host platforms.

This one-on-one instructional environment will help developers understand EDDL and the true capabilities.

All registrants learn to develop a device description using the latest HCF development tools – Device Description-Integrated Development Environment (DD-IDE).

DD-IDE is included in the workshop fee.
