Parker Fluid Control Division has introduced the compressed natural gas (CNG) valve integrated with filter, suited to downstream valve installations in vehicles powered by low-emission CNG fuel.

This high-pressure, high-flow, low-leakage valve is designed for compressed natural gas fuel-dispensing systems with single- and multi-tank applications.

Its high-flow rate allows operators to save money through using a single CNG valve for two tanks.

CNG is already an alternative low-emission fuel source but the added filter of this valve, by removing impurities from the natural gas as well as any particulates downstream of the valve, makes it a cleaner one too and improves vehicle operation in the process.

Featuring an improved sealing performance for greater reliability, Parker’s CNG valve integrated with filter can operate within any CNG-fuelled vehicle, including light-duty, such as sedans, pick-up trucks and SUVs; medium-duty, such as vans and shuttles; heavy-duty, such as school and transit buses, semi-trucks, waste disposal trucks and delivery vehicles; and off-road vehicles, such as lawnmowers, forklifts, freight mounts and street sweepers.

The device can withstand high pressures from 0 – 4,500psi, enabling it to function at maximum tank pressures.

Safety is increased and environmental impact reduced by a bubble-tight leakage at 0psi.

The two-way, normally closed valve is built with a stainless-steel body.

Using an integrated electrical coil enclosure, the CNG valve requires 18in leaded connection and can operate in a maximum ambient temperature of 77C.

The valve runs on a voltage of 12VDC, has a current draw of 1.64A and comes with a two-year warranty.
