At Drinktec 2013 in Munich, Igus will present the Drylin SLT-BB, a spindle-driven linear axis with an even smaller installation height, and the Drylin SLW-25120, a spindle linear module for high loads. Both models have been specifically designed for machines and plant used in the food industry, having to fulfil specific requirements concerning installed size and load-bearing capacities.

Drylin SLW-25120

The Drylin SLT-BB has a minimum linear axis installation height of only 20mm and an installation width of only 45mm, which is due to the lateral positioning of the spindle next to the linear guide system. According to the company, the movement can be fast, effortless and smooth.

The bearing clearance can be adjusted using the Drylin T-miniature slide TWE-04-12. The high-capacity, compact design size and lubricant-free operation of the Drylin linear axis SLT-BB makes it ideal for automation applications in beverage and food machinery including vending machines.

The Drylin SLW-25120 is a new product in the Igus linear module range that combines compactness and an enormous load-bearing capacity. This spindle linear module can transport radial loads of up to 1,000kg, while an axial load of up to 250kg is possible.

According to the company, the linear module guarantees high stability and a maintenance-free drive, while its low profile and sturdy design make the Drylin SLW-25120 suitable for demanding positioning tasks.
