Industrial Tooling Corporation (ITC) is to demonstrate a range of cutting tools, including endmills, ball-nosed cutters and tapping, threading and hole-making products, at Southern Manufacturing 2013 on 13–14 February 2013 at FIVE in Farnborough.

ITC is a supplier of tooling to the aerospace, motorsport and general manufacturing markets.

Among the products available for machining hard steels and aerospace alloys, the company will highlight its 5021 Cyber Series five-flute harmonic endmills, developed to deliver high machining performance and productivity benefits when processing difficult materials.

ITC will also showcase the 6051 Cyber Series six-flute endmills aimed at aerospace OEMs and Formula One manufacturers. The long-length, straight-shank, solid-carbide cutters with unequal flute spacing and a Cupro coating reduce machining noise and extend tool life.

Other products on show

  • 2152 short-series and 2162 long-series ball-nosed cutters — designed for the machining of intricate profiles, pockets and complex five-axis components in hard materials up to 65 Rockwell, these cutters are said to offer excellent machining performance to mould and die and general engineering machine shops
  • 2111 and 2151 XLS Cyber Series PCD two-flute endmills — these tools are designed for machining graphite, metal matrix and other similarly abrasive materials. They offer a choice of corner radius for improved tool life, as well as high rigidity thanks to the solid-carbide shank. The 2111 series is designed with necking for additional reach; the 2151XLS range is designed to reach intricate and difficult-to-reach profiles with its overall length of 150mm
  • 2102 and 2132 Cyber Series ball-nosed PCD endmills — designed for profile machining, these tools offer the same overall length, length of cut and reach as the square-end 2111 and 2151, while offering radius options of 2–20mm for the 2102 series and 8–12mm for the 2132 extra-long range
  • Tapping, threading and hole-making products — these tools are of particular interest to subcontractors and general machine-shop engineers. Taps from M1 to M24 are available with spiral points and flutes in long and standard lengths with through-coolant and a selection of coating options for all material types. A range of thread formers is available with or without through-coolant and oil grooves
  • VDS series drills — these drills are designed to be an ideal pre-requisite for high-quality thread making
