Kingfisher Industrial has added the K-Plas liner to its range of wear protection systems, designed to withstand the arduous conditions encountered in quarrying processes such as crushing, washing, screening and classifying.

The company develops the K-Plas and other wear protection systems using ceramic, metallic and polymer lining materials.

In addition to protecting against wear, the low-friction nature of the lining material reduces energy usage and enables the throughput of a greater volume of material, according to Kingfisher.

Key specifications

  • Low-friction lining is designed to protect capital pieces of equipment, guarding against wear while allowing the total discharge of product
  • 10mm- to 20mm-thick K-Plas liner is claimed to offer comparable performance to various grades of stainless and abrasion-resistant steel plate and is suited to materials such as chalk, limestone and gypsum
  • Quarry operators are said to benefit from continuous operational gains that defray the cost of the protection system, ensuring a fast return on investment
