The Skiron 3D laser scanner is suitable for applications in industrial design, reverse engineering, inspection and quality control, product development and rapid prototyping, when combined with the Microscribe desktop digitiser.

It is described by the company as a ’very compact, light and ergonomic laser scanner’, and as having the capability to scan details with a high speed.

The scanner comes with Scantools 3D software, which offers real-time preview while scanning, data alignment, point cloud processing, mesh generation and mesh editing, cleaning and trimming.
