LPKF Laser and Electronics is showcasing printed-circuit-board prototyping at Embedded World 2010.

The company will be exhibiting E-Line for finishing printed circuit boards; the circuit-board plotters in the Protomat series and the LPKF Protolaser S flagship system.

The LPKF Protoprint E is an inexpensive SMT stencil printer for metal and polymer stencils with a working area of 160 x 200mm.

It comes complete with a double-sided quick-clamping frame for frameless stencils.

The LPKF Protoplace E is a manual, pneumatic-assisted, pick-and-place system that handles components up to 0603 format, SO-Ics and smaller QFPs.

It also has 14 anti-static component feeders.

The Protoplace S, with semi-automatic placement using a camera-control system, will also be on show.

The LPKF Protoflow E convection oven produces reliable reflow soldering results over the whole printed circuit board, including lead-free solders.

Its temperature limit goes up to 320C.

With a working area of 160 x 200mm, the reflow oven matches the LPKF Protoprint E.

Also on show is the LPKF Protoflow S, which can handle larger printed circuit boards.

With the Protomat S 62, LPKF showcases a mid-size circuit-board plotter for printed-circuit-board structuring.

The Protomat is supplied complete with a tool changer, an acoustic cabinet and high-performance software for the simple importing of CAD data.

The LPKF Protolaser S structures laminated printed-circuit-board material with high precision and speed.
