Lyco Manufacturing, a US manufacturer of commercial cooking and cooling equipment, is sponsoring a two-day food machinery technology open house to be held on 13-14 May in Columbus, Wisconsin.

The event will incorporate seminars and equipment demonstrations on the company’s cooking and cooling systems for vegetables, pasta, rice and dry beans.

It will profile Lyco’s latest technical developments in high-throughput equipment for cooking, cooling, blanching, rehydrating and pasteurising, incorporating its quick-changeover clean-in-place (CIP) systems, which are claimed to reduce clean-up times between runs from hours to minutes.

The open house will also feature Lyco’s latest systems for dry-bean hydration using continuous pressure cooking/blanching, as well as its rapid continuous pouch cooling systems for vegetable and meat products, including soups, which can process throughput volumes as high as 10,000lb/h (4,500kg/h).
