Maple Systems is introducing a line of Gold Industrial Panel PCs that enable users to create automation processes based on their primary design objectives.

The 64-bit Core 2 Duo processor will deliver the computing speed, power and flexibility to handle a variety of industrial-grade projects.

Loaded with the Microsoft Windows XP Professional, these models offer a range of configuration options for applications at all levels of complexity, from single-panel operator-interface applications to complex networked Scada systems.

Connectivity features include two Ethernet ports, five serial ports and four host USB ports (six host USB ports on the 19in model).

With a choice of a 15, 17 or 19in models, users can panel mount the size unit that best accommodates space considerations.

The Core 2 Duo Series can handle computing tasks, industrial-grade projects, extreme environmental conditions and requirements such as certification, multiple connectivity, durability, open-platform versatility, a touch-screen interface, or media capabilities such as web, graphics, video and sound.

The computers’ bright, high-contrast SXGA TFT Display feature 16 million colours, with a resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels.

These units have an 80GB anti-shock hard drive, which is upgradable to 160GB.

They also include 1GB of DDR2 DRAM, which is upgradable to 3GB.

They are operational in temperatures ranging from 0 to 50C and in humidity ranging from five to 95 per cent.

The enclosure is tough and rugged to protect interior components and all models have a 10mm anodised-aluminum bezel and electro-galvanised steel chassis.

The motherboard is designed for the industrial environment and the hard drives are anti-shock.

They have a NEMA4/12 (IP65) Rating and are RoHS-Compliant and CE and FCC certified.

Maple Systems also offers, as an option, the Webstudio HMI/Scada software.

This web-based interface provides a media-rich operating environment that communicates system conditions clearly to operators, while allowing supervisors and engineers to view and append data remotely.
