Associated Spring offers a line of mechanical coil spring struts to meet demanding, maintenance-free applications where conventional gas struts fail.

Made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel, and unlike gas and pneumatic models, these struts have no internal gases or seals to fail.

They perform in high temperatures (400F), high humidity and offer resistance to environmental contamination and corrosion.

Two catalogue lines are currently offered, with various load and stroke options.

The standard mechanical spring struts are of stainless-steel construction, utilise stainless-steel springs and have M6 threaded ends.

The high load mechanical spring struts are of stainless-steel construction, utilise carbon-steel springs and have M8 threaded ends.

A full line of extension and dampening models are under development and are currently available as custom-built units.

All of these models are available with various end configurations.

Associated Spring can work with customer specifications to design and produce the mechanical strut for a specific application, including the brackets and adjoining hardware.

Typical Applications of these mechanical coil spring struts include food preparation and processing; heating, ventilation and aeration; motion control and dampening; and clean room applications.

They are used in the automotive, medical, pharmaceutical, chemical, marine, defence, nuclear, agriculture and construction industries.
