EF series technical flyer - .PDF file.

Finish Thompson’s EF series compact, seal-less, motor-driven drum pumps are now available from Michael Smith Engineers. Drum pumps are said to be ideal for transferring liquids from small drums, buckets and carboys as they are less time consuming and messy than using hand-operated manual pumps.

The EF series pumps are suitable for light to medium duty and for transferring oils, detergents and other similar liquids at flow rates up to 64 litres per minute at discharge pressures up to 6.1m.

The drum pumps enable precise amounts of liquid to be transferred to smaller containers with less risk of spillage and also help to eliminate the handling problems associated with heavy containers.

Key features and specifications

  • Tube length options start from 40cm for smaller containers; 70cm, 100cm and 120cm for the most popular-sized drums; and 140cm for larger intermediate bulk containers and carboys, which typically hold volumes up to 1,250 litres (330 gallons).
  • Motors are interchangeable with any tube selection and are offered in a choice of construction materials of polypropylene and pure polypro/pure PVDF.
  • For more challenging applications, such as transferring corrosive liquids, the EFS stainless steel option is available, which features a 316 stainless steel tube and shaft.
  • Other features include dual-speed, adjustable, continuous-duty electric motors or air motors, which have CSA or CE certifications and a built-in hose and cord clip for storage.
