Michael Smith Engineers is offering Viking Universal Seal Pumps, which are designed to accommodate virtually all types of seal, including packing, component or cartridge mechanical seals, which can be usually be fitted without bracket modifications.

This range of internal gear pumps comprises 12 standard size options providing flow rates up to a maximum of 365 M3/hr and pressures to 14 bar.

Designed for easy maintenance, Viking Universal Seal Pumps have only two moving parts and the back pullout design of the seal housing allows drive-end access to the pump seal for quick replacement without removing the pump or rotor.

The pumps are available in wide range of construction materials, including cast iron, ductile iron, cast steel, stainless steel and alloy C, allowing chemical compatibility with a wide range of liquids.

Additional information

  • Seal housing is a solid, one-piece cast bracket that reduces shaft deflection, prolonging seal life
  • Jacketing options available for critical areas of the pumps to ensure rapid heating and cooling
  • Seals can handle liquids with viscosities from 0.1–440,000cSt
  • Operating temperature range is -85 to +425ºC
