Michael Smith Engineers has introduced a range of magnetically coupled vane pumps from M Pumps to provide smooth, consistent, pulse-less and leak-free pumping. The pumps are available in plastic and stainless steel.

M Pumps’ self-priming vane pumps have a seal-less, mag-drive design and can handle thin liquids at relatively high pressures. Some models can run dry for short periods.

The pumps are able to compensate for wear through vane extension and have good suction lift capabilities.

All M Pumps products are designed for close coupling to the motor, which minimises the space footprint needed.

  • The pumps can withstand system pressures up to 15 bar.
  • They are designed for pumping water at six litres per minute at a differential head of 17m.
  • The issue of leakage is eliminated thanks to the pumps’ magnet couplings, smooth, pulse-less flows and capability to withstand high system pressures.
  • Plastic pumps are capable of capacities up to 3,000 litres per hour, discharge pressures to 6 bar and viscosities up to 10,000cP.
  • Stainless steel versions have similar output and viscosity handling capacities, but higher discharge pressures to 14 bar.
  • Multi-stage versions provide capacities up to 3,000 litres per hour, discharge pressures to 25 bar and viscosities to 10,000cP.
