Micro-Epsilon will launch its new blue laser sensor and demonstrate its Thermoimager TM160 and Scancontrol 2710 laser profile sensor with Ethernet interface at Sensors Systems for Control and Instrumentation 2011 (stand P47).

Operating on the laser triangulation measuring principle, the blue laser sensor is suitable for measurements on hot, glowing metals, particularly in hot steel processing, as well as for measuring organic materials such as skin, foodstuffs, plastics, veneers and wood.

The Thermoimager TIM160 is an inline radiometric thermal imaging camera that provides temperature images and profiles of a target area.

Designed to be extremely compact, the Scancontrol 2710 series has an integrated controller for the measurement of angles, steps, position and 2D profiles, as well as the profiling of adhesive beads, weld seams, grooves and gaps.
