At Sensing Technology 2012, which is due to be held on 25–26 September at the Birmingham NEC, Micro-Epsilon is to introduce its Thermoimager TIM 400 and 450 series of inline infrared thermal imagers, the Thermometer CSmicro, the EddyNCDT 3100 controller and the OptoNCDT 2300 displacement sensor.

The Thermoimager TIM 400 and 450 inline infrared thermal imagers enable users to capture and store thermal video and images with high optical resolution (382 x 288 pixels) at a full frame rate of 80Hz.

The Thermometer CSmicro has a diameter of 14mm and can be used in a range of OEM applications, particularly where installation space is at a premium.

The EddyNCDT 3100 features a Smart Sensor Auto Calibration system and Ethernet connection for output signal and configuration.

The OptoNCDT 2300 self-contained laser displacement sensor requires no separate controller and provides a measuring speed of up to 50kHz, making it suitable for applications such as vibration measurement or for measuring uneven, difficult surfaces, including transparent plastics.

  • It is available in six models with measuring ranges from 2mm to 200mm
  • Resolutions start from 0.03µm and non-linearity from ±0.6µm
  • Data output is via Ethernet, RS422 or EtherCAT
  • The sensor can also be configured remotely using a web browser interface
