The Micropump range of leak-free, pulseless magnet drive pumps available from Michael Smith Engineers is now available with new compact and lightweight electromagnetic brushless DC motors that provide increased torque and power.

MSE drive

The new Eagle Drive EL and MS electromagnetic drives are designed to extend the potential applications for the established Micropump range. The drives can be coupled with most models in the Micropump range, such as the GA, GB, GJ, GJR, GAF and CA pumps, and can be operated at higher speeds of up to 10,000rev/min.

Fewer moving parts ensures higher reliability and longer life while a compact size and variable-speed operation enables the drives to be integrated into system designs where space is limited.

Micropump gear pumps with the new drives cover flow rates of up to 5,000ml/min and differential pressures to 17 bar, while the Micropump CA series centrifugal pump with Eagle Drive covers flow rates of up to 22 litres per minute and differential heads to 7m.

The EL and MS drives operate on a wide range of power supply voltages from 10V to 38VDC and can withstand operating temperatures ranging from -40ºC to +120ºC.
