The 2011-07 milling system from WNT is aimed at users of machining and turning centres with high-speed spindles with low torque moments, low-powered spindles and turning centres with driven tooling.

With its 7mm insert edge length, combined with a maximum depth of cut of 6mm at feedrates up to 0.06mm/tooth, 2011-07 inserts and associated cutter bodies maximise the available power to generate maximum metal-removal rates.

The 2011-07 inserts also benefit from WNT’s Hypercoat CVD tool coating system, which enables the carbide substrate to operate at elevated temperatures, meaning higher cutting speeds and longer tool life.

Every cutter body is equipped with through-tool coolant as standard and its design also maximises the number of inserts per cutter, to allow further improvements in metal-removal rates.

The use of a ‘notch’ system on the insert securely locates the insert into the cutter body.

With indexable insert cutter available from 10mm diameter and inserts available in grades suitable for steel, stainless steel, cast iron, heat-resistant materials and titanium, 2011-07 provides an alternative to solid-carbide milling cutters.

With one cutter body suitable for cutting a variety of materials, stocks can be reduced by changing the insert grade cutter.

In addition, 2011-07 reduces consumable cutting-tool costs by eliminating the needs for expensive regrinds and process management.
