Midwest Motion Products has brought out the MMP-TM55-60-12V GP52-308 DC gear motor.

This gear motor accepts any 12V DC source, including battery power.

It has a 2.14in (54.36mm) diameter and is 7.75in (196.8mm) long.

It has a keyed output shaft that has a 12mm diameter and is 25mm long.

Easy mounting is accomplished with four ‘face mount’ M5 threaded holes, equally spaced on a 40mm diameter BC.

The output of this reversible gearmotor is rated for 310lb/in continuous torque, at 2.5RPM, and 443lb/in peak.

Despite its compact size, and weight of approximately 4lb, it is an efficient design, requiring just 1.2A at 12V DC to generate its full load torque.

That translates into long-life battery charge, very low noise operation and lower costs for related drive electronics.

Motor windings for 24, 28, 36, 48, 60 and 90V are available.

This design is rated at an ‘IP 54’ protection level for operation in harsh environments.

Variable speed can be accomplished with fully compatible speed controls, Model MMP 25A-12V, or MMP 20A-12V-RSP.
