Suitable for both nuclear industry and medical environments, Laboratory Impex Systems (LIS) has introduced the HC833 self-contained gamma monitoring system.

The system is for use within shielded areas such as hot cells and glove boxes, and features a large analogue scale to give users an immediate and clear visual indicator of the radiation level within the cell.

Its additional safety functions, should radiation levels exceed a preset threshold, include a door interlock and visual alarm.

This gamma monitoring device, designed with the requirements of busy PET and radiopharmaceutical departments in mind, requires zero maintenance and delivers sensitive and stable detection.

Housed within in a stainless-steel enclosure for easy cleaning/decontamination, this wall-mounted unit will generally be used in a stand-alone configuration; however, the system also has a 4-20mA output that will allow the cell activity levels to be transmitted to a building management system if required.
