The AGR series of motorised rotary stages from Aerotech is designed to address a range of general-purpose positioning applications in laboratory and industrial environments.

According to the company, the stages offer significant improvements in speed, load capacity and long-term positioning performance over previous generations of wormgear-driven stages.

A large, clear aperture — available in diameters ranging from 50–200mm — allows the AGR series to address applications requiring a through-hole or accommodations to mount an optic, including the articulation of beam-polarising lenses, through-holes for cable and/or air lines. The aperture also supports vision, camera and inspection applications.

The stage base is fabricated from an aluminium alloy that is claimed to offer weight savings in multi-axis arrangements and other weight-critical applications, while providing high structural stiffness and long-term stability.
