Mouser Electronics, Inc., the industry’s leading New Product Introduction (NPI) distributor with the widest selection of semiconductors and electronic components, announces a global distribution agreement with ODU, a leading international supplier of connection systems. The ODU product line, now available from Mouser Electronics, includes the ODU MINI-SNAP®, ODU MEDI-SNAP®, and ODU MINI-MED® connector series.

“ODU produces the high-quality connectors that design engineers demand,” said Jeff Newell, Senior Vice President of Products at Mouser Electronics. “Through this partnership, Mouser brings ODU’s reliable connection systems to an even broader range of customers worldwide.”

“We are proud to announce this agreement with Mouser Electronics, a company renowned for its worldwide distribution and support system,” said  Thomas Mittermeier, President and CEO, ODU-USA Inc. “By partnering with Mouser, we can capitalize on their customer service and logistics expertise to expand our customer base around the world.”

The ODU MINI-SNAP K Series and ODU MINI-SNAP L Series are push-pull circular connectors keyed by pin and groove. Both series offer 5,000+ mating cycle durability and are available in a wide variety of sizes, termination types, and contact inserts to enable flexible configurations. The L Series is rated up to IP68 unmated and IP50 mated, while the K series is rated IP68 mated or unmated. The self-securing connectors are ideal for sensor devices, data collection and transfer systems, high-speed cameras, audio and video applications, LED lighting, medical, and other demanding applications.

ODU MEDI-SNAP push-pull locking connectors combine distinctive coding options with over 2,000 mating cycles. The connectors’ plastic housing make them up to 75 percent lighter than comparable metal connectors. The space-saving design maximizes installation space efficiency and high chemical resistance and sterilizability ensures usability even under the harshest environmental conditions. ODU MEDI-SNAP are suited to medical technology, industrial electronics, and digital test and measurement technology.

The ODU MINI-MED series are a compact and cost-efficient pre-assembled plastic connector solution with break-away function designed for medical, industrial and test and measurement applications. The connectors offer two to six gold-plated contacts with durability up to 1,000 mating cycles. The ODU MINI-MED series provides IP67-rated protection when mated and are ideal for light, space-saving and watertight cable assembly requirements.
