The fourth generation Masterys UPS is Socomec’s smartest UPS yet, bringing together the world of secure power with the digital revolution in order to help simplify UPS installations and improve performance levels.

In developing this next generation system, Socomec has taken inspiration from the digital transformation itself to rethink the way that products are designed and made, taking an interdisciplinary approach – with smart results.

Augmented Reality: UPS recognition
E-WIRE – the first app specifically designed to support UPS installations – simplifies the installer’s job, improves power supply reliability and ensures all the necessary installation steps and assessments are made in support of the installation.

Using augmented reality technology, E-WIRE provides step-by-step instructions for a fast and foolproof installation – from positioning the UPS, to verifying electrical protection and even providing a guide to cabling both the UPS and the battery system.

When the installation is complete a test report with multimedia content is sent to the Socomec Services Center to be checked & validated in order to authorize the commissioning.

SOCOMEC UPS were the first manufacturer in France to offer static power supplies in 1968. In 1980 they were the first to design a UPS with PWM technology, 1996 saw them being the first to integrate IGBT technology with major power sources and in 2000, SOCOMEC became the first designer to integrate a UPS with a modular rack system.

Since then they have also been the first to integrate hybrid components in 2001, they developed the first 200kVA UPS to include an IGBT rectifier in 2003 and came up with new battery charging designs in 2004. In 2006 they also developed a replacement for the traditional battery based solution by creating a dynamic energy storage system.
