The Bond-Rite Remote EP static earthing system provides continuous static earth monitoring of up to 10 separate items of plant equipment at risk of accumulating hazardous electrostatic charges.

For process applications that require the earthing of plant equipment for more than six hours per day, the Bond-Rite Remote EP utilises a common 230V or 110V mains supply to power the monitoring circuit of each indicator station.

The IECEx/Atex-certified universal power supply (UPS) can provide continuous power for up to 10 GRP monitoring-indicator stations simultaneously.

The monitoring-indicator stations, which contain an LED that confirms a positive earth connection to the equipment, can be mounted in Zone 1/21 hazardous areas in full view of operators handling or processing potentially flammable or combustible products.

The UPS, which provides the intrinsically safe (IS) current to power the monitoring-indicator stations can be located in a Zone 2/22 area or local safe area.

It provides monitored earthing of up to 10 items of plant equipment at risk of static charge accumulation.

The UPS also provides the option of bonding equipment for processes that last six hours or longer, including processes that require continuous static earthing.

A highly visible LED mounted in the indicator station ensures operators know when low-resistance connection is achieved with potentially charged equipment.

Tungsten-carbide tips bite through product deposits, vessel/drum coatings and rust to ensure proper bonding connections are made.

Stainless steel two-core clamps are designed to withstand use in tough chemical processing and industrial environments.

In addition, 10ohm loop resistance monitoring is compliant with international best practice standards.

For over 25 years, Newson Gale has been in the business of protecting people and assets from the hazards of static electricity.

Newson Gale serves industries where processes that generate significant amounts of static electricity have the potential to ignite flammable or explosive atmospheres. The major industries served are:

-chemical/petrochemical manufacturing and distribution.

-pharmaceutical/clean room processes.

-paints,coatings and solvents manufacturing and distribution.

-food and beverage production and distribution.

Newson Gale’s commitment to research and innovation has led to the creation of patented industry firsts that optimise the safety of people and protection of plant assets.

Our solutions are divided into three flexible product categories that are specified for customers depending on the level of safety required to protect people and plant assets from the flammable/explosive hazard. The three categories are described as:

Earth-Rite:continuous static dissipative monitoring with positive indication and interlock control outputs.

Bond-Rite:continuous static dissipative monitoring with positive indication.

Cen-Stat:mechanical earthing and bonding devices and hazardous area accessories.

Depending on the country specification, our equipment carries ATEX,FM,IECEx and SIL2 hazardous area approvals and are fully compliant with internationally recognised best practise standards for controlling static electricity
