Mouser Electronics, Inc., the industry’s leading New Product Introduction (NPI) distributor with the widest selection of semiconductors and electronic components, is now shipping fiber optic connectors from Amphenol Fiber Systems International (FSI). Designed for use in harsh environments, the fiber optic connectors from Amphenol FSI can withstand extreme temperatures and are ideal for aerospace and military applications. Built with precision alignment and components, Amphenol FSI’s fiber optic connectors offer exceptional optical performance in a broad range of temperature and vibration conditions.

Amphenol FSI fiber optic connectors, available from Mouser Electronics, are designed to meet the rigorous standards and specifications required for use in military applications. The ARINC 801 cylindrical fiber optic connectors are qualified to the commercial ARINC 801 specification for use in avionics and aircraft networks. The connectors are available in standard D38999 plug and receptacle shells and can withstand vibration levels of up to 300 GRMS. Inserts are available to enable high-density arrangements of up to 32 channels.

Amphenol FSI’s Next-Generation Connector (NGCON) series offers high-density packaging and genderless fiber optic termini. Compliant with the MIL-STD-64266 military standard, the NGCON fiber optic connectors deliver 500 cycles of multimode and single-mode durability. The versatile connectors feature M28876 coupling threads and D38999 rear accessory threads, as well as a removable alignment sleeve retainer for simplified maintenance.

The M29504 connectors feature an operating temperature range of minus 65 to 150 degrees C, enabling their use in both naval and aerospace environments. The high-precision fiber optic connectors are designed to fit into MIL-DTL-38999 Series III, pin-size 16 connectors, and are manufactured to comply with the rigorous MIL-PRF-29504D specification.

Amphenol FSI’s LC Field circular connectors are shock- and vibration-proof and provide IP68-rated protection against dust and fluids. With no tools required for installation and no cabling operation necessary in the field, the LC Field connectors easily transform standard LC patch cords into environmental connectors.

Fiber optic connectors from Amphenol FSI are ideal for a broad range of harsh environment, military, and aerospace applications including railways, military radar, avionics, naval communications, and land tactical communications.
