Parker Fluid Control Division has announced the release of the Banjo valve, which it said is a cost-effective solution for general purpose process control applications.

The three-way, normally-closed, direct-acting Banjo valve complements Parker’s existing range of process control valves.

Specifically, the valve’s design initiates air actuation in process and industrial control applications.

Easy to install, the valve line screws directly into the piston or diaphragm actuator of Parker’s family of angle seat valves.

The input pressure port uses 1/8in NPT threads.

A Banjo bolt enables direct mounting in any position without the use of supplementary fittings.

The valve’s standard locking manual override allows manual operation during setup and system control in case of power failure.

The Banjo valve is offered standard with a freely rotatable DIN plug and NEMA 4 cable gland connector as part of a cost-effective installation.

It is available as a modular design or fully assembled with a variety of coil styles.

Both AC and DC voltage compatible, the valve offers 4.5-5.0W coils, depending on the application’s voltage needs.

With a life expectancy of up to five million cycles, the line can withstand a fluid temperature range of 0-185F and an ambient temperature of 14-122F.

It is compatible with either dry or lubricated air, making it available to a range of applications.

Additionally, a ‘bug screen’ nut exhausts to the atmosphere to provide safe outdoor service.

The Banjo valve includes FM and CSA agency-approved Class F hazardous Class H coils for explosive atmospheres.
