The compact M-687 motorised microscope XY stage system from Physik Instrumente (PI) is designed for inverted microscopes and offers the high stability that is essential in long-term imaging applications.

The system features miniaturised ceramic linear motors, which enhance positioning stability and enable a more compact package than possible when using electromagnetic motors.

100nm resolution linear encoders provide direct position feedback to the controller, allowing closed-loop operation with high accuracy.
