Parker Hannifin’s Racor Division has launched its latest range of portable purification systems designed to efficiently and automatically remove water and particulate contamination from diesel.

The purification systems are designed to improve the performance and service life of a range of diesel-driven machinery.

Developed for use on cleaning fuel tanks, drums and bowsers and in power-generator and marine applications, the new filter trolleys reduce maintenance while eliminating expensive downtime costs.

These latest fuel filtration trolley units are suitable for use as part of regular maintenance schedules, removing 100 per cent of free water and between 80 and 90 per cent of dissolved water from fluid systems through the filtering of the diesel, eliminating the problems associated with water contamination, including corrosion, dirt, particulate and bug growth.

Filtration is carried out by the integrated Parker Racor FBO filters, through which diesel is automatically circulated to remove water, moisture and particles effectively.

The filter trolleys have been designed for automatic operation, increasing running time and reducing labour costs, with a built-in automatic shutdown and alarm system to protect against engine damage from particulate and water contamination.

The self-contained units measure 1m in height, weigh around 45kg (not including delivery and suction hoses) and feature caster wheels, facilitating movement and transportation.

They have been designed specifically to withstand operation within a demanding industrial environment and feature a robust steel construction.

The compact units can be moved quickly and simply to wherever they are needed, according to the company.
