RDP Electronics offers a fully approved factory calibration service for all pressure, displacement and load transducers supplied with amplifiers.

With traceability to NPL standards, the service is open to customers and users of RDP transducers.

Load frames provide calibration in compression up to 100,000lbs and pressure calibration to 1,100 bar.

The RDP calibration service also fully embraces all LVDT displacement transducers and signal conditioning products.

The recommended recalibration interval will depend on users’ own quality systems, although an annual recalibration is frequently requested.

RDP are also able to record as-found values for returned transducers, enabling customers to establish whether recent tests have been within specification.

The strength of the LVDT is in its principle of operation. As LVDT sensors are inductive, there is no electrical connection across the sensing element ensuring clean data and a long life.

The LVDT operation principle lends itself to use in extreme environments. LVDTs can be made to work submerged in sea water, in temperatures of 600°C (1100°F) in high nuclear ratiation and at pressures of up to 2000bar (30,000psi).
