FGP Precision Engineering is using the PH20 five-axis touch trigger head system for co-ordinate measuring machines, an Equator shopfloor gauging system and a QC20-W wireless ballbar from Renishaw to reduce its annual scrap rate and further enhance product quality.

FGP, a manufacturer of critical parts for aerospace applications, was producing scrap of the order of 14.7 per cent of total output and needed to reduce this figure quickly and effectively.

Using the Renishaw technology has enabled the company to reduce its scrap rate considerably and boost its order books.
