Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics is to highlight its Norglide composite bearings and Rencol tolerance rings for powertrain, chassis, and automotive interior and exterior applications at the Vehicle Dynamics Expo in Stuttgart, Germany, on 12–14 June 2012.

Rencol tolerance rings are customised for each application and improve friction control, reduce noise, vibration and harshness as well as enhancing assembly efficiency for the manufacturer.

The Norglide composite bearings feature a self-lubricating polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) liner, which controls friction between two moving parts.

This saves energy by facilitating movement and absorbing noise, vibration and harshness before it is transmitted to other mechanisms.
