Sensor Connection has introduced the EGT Diesel Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor featuring an enclosed foul-proof probe tip that permits operation in biofuel and diesel engine applications.

The sensor, a type K thermocouple, can withstand extreme conditions, making it ideal for professional racing teams, OEMs and research and development test labs.

The EGT Diesel Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor can withstand extreme vibration and heat up to 1200C.

The foul-proof sensing tip is recommended for EGT temperature measurements of sulphuric fuels such as diesel and biofuels.

Its diameter is 4.75mm, meaning it will fit into most diesel engine exhaust systems between 19 and 100mm in diameter, with nominal modifications.

A 90-degree bend to the probe accommodates tight-spaced mounting locations.

The EGT probe includes an adjustable (316 Stainless Steel) 1/8in NPT compression fitting adapter.

The EGT probe cable, over-braided in stainless steel for heavy-duty abrasion resistance, extends to two meters.

Signal wires are Teflon insulated to ensure reliable and consistent high temperature measurement in extreme conditions.

The sensor is made by Inconel and 316SS.
