Schuler subsidiary Beutler Nova held a motor-racing themed fair in Gettnau, Switzerland, on 1 and 2 July, which included the presentation of a race car and the construction of a genuine pit lane.

The company exhibited a range of metalforming technology, with demonstrations of a high-speed blanking press and the C-frame press with 250kN (25 tonf) of press force being held.

Beutler Nova also informed guests about tailored systems solutions, such as the production of aluminum containers for the packaging industry or press automation on a transfer device.

The company’s new high-speed blanking press offers speeds of 300 strokes per minute, with its slide guidance system with preloaded, play-free roller bearing units also providing precision.

The press, which was demonstrated to customers under production conditions, enables the production of small parts with tight die clearances.

The line also includes an electronic roll feed unit with direct drive from Zehnder and Sommer.

Beutler Nova’s cooperation partner Leuthold Mechanik exhibited deep drawing dies for the processing of aluminum parts at the in-house fair.

They enable the production of rectangular or round aluminum containers for a variety of applications, such as small cans of jam.

The company and its partners also answered questions, for example, on securing the die area, clamping technology, automation, die handling, lubrication technology for material forming, machine installation, operating data acquisition and financing.
