Sherborne Sensors has announced its U2000 series of ultra-low-profile, high-frequency response strain-gauge loadcells. Available in standard load ranges from 1–25kN and ideal for use in applications where space is limited, the U2000 is a miniature tension and compression loadcell that maintains precision accuracy in harsh environments.

Manufactured from aerospace quality stainless steel and rated to IP54, the U2000 is corrosion resistant and is able to operate in temperatures ranging from -20°C–80°C without any degradation in performance.

According to the company, the U2000 series offers a combination of functionality, performance and ultra-reliability, while its low deflection and high-frequency response characteristics are especially beneficial for both materials testing and high-speed load measurement applications, particularly where peak forces are being monitored.

In addition, its robust, shear web design incorporates multiple strain gauges, strategically placed to counteract and minimise errors associated with unwanted side or axial forces.

Sherborne Sensors can customise all of its force transducers and loadcells and manufacture to comply with specific customer requirements within its AS9100B Quality Management System.
