Semaphore CSE has announced that it is to showcase its Scada system products, including the T-Box WM wireless monitor, at Entelec 2009 in Houston, Texas.

Semaphore’s exhibit will feature the T-Box WM wireless monitor as well as the T-Box and Kingfisher product lines.

During the technical programme, Semaphore will also present a paper on Scada security.

The intelligent, ultra-low power wireless monitor comprises a fully integrated solution for management of remote assets and processes.

T-Box WM extends advanced monitoring, automation, and telemetry capabilities to installations requiring as few as one or two measurements.

T-Box is an IP-based telemetry solution that enables the complete integration of Scada, control, and communications functionality in one rugged package.

It uses easy-to-use web technologies and public networks for decentralised, monitoring and control systems.

Semaphore said T-Box products offer up to 50 per cent less total installed cost per point versus traditional Scada/PLC systems and permit greater organisational access to data through automated reporting and browser software.

The Kingfisher RTU line provides many features for Scada system solutions, including redundant configurations, intelligent I/O, and open programming that is compliant with IEC 61131-3.

Kingfisher is compliant with IEC 61499, the distributed processing and interoperability extension to IEC 61131-3.

Kingfisher systems are well-suited to large and demanding measurement and control applications that employ central stations.

Semaphore’s T-Box and Kingfisher RTU products are ideal for a range of monitoring and control applications in the broadcast/telecom, infrastructure management, oil and gas, power, transportation and water/wastewater industries.
