FLIR Systems has enhanced its T-Series premium thermal cameras with new functions and capabilities such as UltraMax, an image processing feature that improves the infrared (IR) resolution and sensitivity of the cameras. Two new cameras have also been introduced — the T460 and T660.

According to the company, UltraMax images have four times the thermal pixels, twice the resolution and 50 per cent greater sensitivity than standard unprocessed images. Images are viewed and processed in FLIR Tools software for PCs.

UltraMax images allow users to zoom in on smaller heat anomalies, get more accurate measurements and see more detail than with previous un-processed images.

Select T-Series cameras also come with improved thermal sensitivity — as low as 20mK — and improved temperature measurement accuracy.
